Ken Uwakwe Odo – President

Mr Odo is a Senior Diagnostic Radiographer with specialist competencies in Lithotripsy, CT Colonography and Interventional imaging, among other areas. He graduated from the University of Nigeria in 1991 with a B.Sc Radiography. Years later he obtained an MBA,  with particular interest in strategic planning. He worked in the Nigerian health sector until 2009 when he moved to England. He became actively involved in the Alumni Association soon after graduation and has served it in various capacities over the years, notably as Vice President of Sokoto Branch and National Secretary of UNAA Nigeria. The one hobby he is most passionate about is, bringing people together for the common good.

Senior Radiographer,  Breast Unit,  Southend University Hospital.

 

 

 

Ukonu Obasi – General Secretary

A graduate of Health Education. He is a healthcare management lecturer at Arden University.  He was a Liberal Democrats parliamentary candidate in 2017 and 2019. 

 

 

 

 

Obianuju C. Amamgbo – Assistant General Secretary

A graduate of Linguistics (UNN) and MIT University of Nottingham. She is currently a Work Coach for the Department for Works and Pensions. She is the founder of The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign Nigeria. She is also a published author.

 

 

Tajudeen Bamidele (Dele) – Financial Secretary

Policy Adviser and Financial Analyst currently works with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs –Defra. A multi-background graduate of Economics and Political Science from The University of Nigeria. He also holds two Master degrees (M.SCs) in Economics, and Finance and Investment from the University of Ibadan and University of Essex respectively. He is part-qualified Management Accountant (CIMA) and a CeMAP – qualified Mortgage Adviser.

 

 

Monica Allison – Treasurer

Graduate of Archaeology and Tourism (UNN). Currently a Senior Professional Program Control at DXC Technology. She is a career coach & mentor in Project Management industry.

 

 

 

Charles I. Odo – Welfare Officer

Graduated with a BSc in Computer Science (UNN- 1998/1999). He proceeded to obtain a MSc from Manchester Business School in 2007. He further acquired a Postgraduate degree in Cost Engineering from Cranfield  in 2010. Currently a  Project Management Professional with JACOBS Engineering Consultancy.

 

 

Valentine Maduko – Public Relations

Graduated with a degree in Pure & Industrial Chemistry. Then obtained a postgraduate degree in Petroleum Technology from the University of Teesside with experience in Banking & Investment as well as in the Oil & Gas Industry. He also possesses a postgraduate diploma in Learning and Teaching from the University of Oxford and currently pursuing a Postgraduate Degree in Learning & Teaching from the University of Oxford. Works as a chemistry Specialist and Head of Year in a state maintained school with Durham County Council.
