Our Board of Directors serve as ambassadors for the association and the University. They have an oversight responsibility in the governance of the association and provide advisory service to the execution on issues referred to it, to help in their decision making.

Additionally, they determine the association’s vision, mission, and values to be promoted, review its goals and set the pace for operations and future development, ensuring that the association complies with the laws of the United Kingdom.

Dr Dorothy Chinyere Apakama

MBBS (Nig) FRCS (Eng) FRCEM

Dorothy graduated from UNN College of Medicine in 1986. She is currently a Consultant in Emergency Medicine with special interest in Education and Legal Medicine

She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (1994), Fellow of Royal College of Emergency Medicine (2000), Pg Diploma in Medical Ethics and Law, Keeele University (2008). She is also a Member Academy of Medical Educators (2014), Aff Member Faculty of Forensic & Legal Medicine, and an instructor in major Life Support Courses (ALS, ATLS, EPLS).

Dorothy usually spends her leisure time on music, gastronomy and participating in volunteer activities.

Emmanuel Udeagbala

Emmanuel graduated with B.Eng in 1979 and completed his National Youth Service in Kaduna state under the Ministry of Agriculture. He took up service with Federal Ministry of Agriculture from 1980 to 1987. He travelled to England on service training in 1984 and acquired M.Eng. in Food Processing and Storage from Cranfield University in 1986. He currently works for NHS as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner specialising in mental health.

Obianuju Chiamaka Amamgbo

A graduate of Linguistics (UNN), and MSc in MIT from the University of Nottingham. Obianuju is currently a Compliance Officer in the Civil Service. She is the founder of The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign Nigeria (TMDCN), a not-for-profit charity organisation that supports people in Nigeria with muscular dystrophy. She is a published author of two fictional novels – “Tears on Her Pillow” and “Hunted by Hawks”.

In her free time, Obianuju spends her time with family and friends, watching sports (football, tennis, basketball, athletics), reading and writing, and volunteering activities.
